UNStudio | Hannes Pfau 担任新厦门机场片区城市设计国际竞赛评委

UNStudio 合伙人，亚太区负责人Hannes Pfau 近日受邀出席并担任厦门新机场片区城市设计国际竞赛方案评审会评审员。

Hannes Pfau, Partner of UNStudio Asia, was invited to be a Jury member of the International Urban Design competition for the Xiamen New Airport Area.

厦门新机场片区城市设计是厦门市级重大片区最重要的项目之一，对打造厦门国际一流营商环境、加快产业转型升级及成为“海丝”战略支点城市具有重要意义。面对这样的机遇和挑战，2020年8月，厦门市机场片区指挥部、厦门市自然资源和规划局第一次以创新的国际方案征集方式面向国内外设计机构，遴选具有国际化视野和前瞻性思维的设计方案。

As one of the most important projects in Xiamen's municipal-level, the Xiamen New Airport Area Urban design is significant for Xiamen in creating a world-class business environment, accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading, and becoming a strategic leverage city of the "Maritime Silk Road ". Facing such opportunities and challenges, in August 2020, Xiamen Airport Area Headquarter offices and Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning office organized the international competition for domestic and foreign design companies to submit international vision and forward-thinking design proposals.

此次方案评审会邀请了规划、建筑、产业、交通等专业的专家作为评委, 并于2021年3月10日在厦门佰翔会展中心格澜厅举行方案评审会,评审了收到的全部52份竞赛设计方案。Hannes Pfau 是建筑和规划方面的评审代表。

The organizer invited jury members to judge the submitted designs who were experts in planning, architecture, industry, and transportation. On March 10, 2021, 52 design proposals were received and reviewed by the jury members at Xiamen Fliport Convention and Exhibition Center. Hannes Pfau was the representative member of the architecture and planning review team.

参与厦门新机场片区城市设计这一重要项目的评审，我们十分荣幸。依海而建的厦门新机场还是国家战略层面的区域枢纽机场、重要门户机场。新机场片区的城市设计不仅突出其独一无二战略价值，还将面临空港产业方向选择、综合交通枢纽体系构建、城市门户形象、生态保护与区域发展平衡、滨海空间风貌营造等多方面的挑战。

Participation in judging this competition was especially fascinating because Xiamen New Airport is an important regional hub airport and gateway airport at the national strategic level, which is going to be built near by the sea.  The urban design of the new airport area shall not only highlight its unique strategic value, but also consider many challenges such as the future of the airport industry, the construction of an integrated transportation hub system, the image of the city, the balance between ecological protection and regional development, and the creation of coastal space.
